Piraí Vaca

“It has been my eternal quest to produce a sound that sings like a human voice; that remains in the air and fills the space; whose presence is felt by merely existing. As a classic guitarist I incessantly searched for a way to amplify sound, trying out one external microphone after another, seeking to avoid the recurrent problem: feedback. But one day, tired of feedback, I decided to install in my guitar the K&K Trinity Pro Classic System and the result surpassed my expectations. The sound that I had searched for my entire life was there, amplified! Of course, there was no feedback.

Now, in the concert halls, playing solo or with an accompanying orchestra, is no longer a painful experience. This way of amplifying sound allows me to play even more with sound dynamics which in turn has given me greater interpretative freedom.”

Piraí Vaca is one of Bolivia’s most celebrated artists, with performances across four continents. Known for the intensity of his interpretations, his charisma, and his technique, he is regarded by international media as one of the most admired guitarists in the world. The Washington Post wrote, “…he stunned the audience with his deep musicality and control…”; Germany’s Rhein Zeitung stated, “…and without fear of exaggeration, we could say that with Piraí Vaca we had one of the most outstanding guitarists in the world at the Mosel Music Festival…”; and recently, Rheinische Post, also from Germany, published, “...technically brilliant, but how can one define this guitarist? It's difficult, because this man conveyed focused emotion, blending charisma with musicality, spirituality with virtuosity, and depth with lightness… modest and unassuming, yet full of confidence.”

Piraí has taken his guitar to concert halls in over 35 countries throughout South and North America, Europe, and Asia. He has been invited to perform for Queen Sofía of Spain, Princess Mako of Japan, the President of the World Bank, and the President of CAF, as well as for several Latin American heads of state.
