"I'm a long time K&K fan, and have been playing fiddle through the Violinissimo since discovering it four or five years ago - the BEST! I never really liked violin pickups until hearing this one - I find it pairs with amps really well, but also have been using it direct lately and have been really pleased with how it sounds. On other instruments as well, I love experimenting with contact pickups, and K&Ks seem to always give a magic nudge to the sound."
