“I first tried a K&K Marimba System on one of my rosewood marimbas about 10 years ago. What a difference, no more pounding! Back then, I would have to pound on the bars to keep up with a full jazz band or a mic’d ensemble. It was stressful for my hands and sounded terrible. With the K&K system, a light tap is all it takes to fuel plenty of volume through an amp or a house sound system. What a relief to be able to play with a full palette of dynamics us usual, even in the loudest environments, with a light touch. Today, I have two juiced up rosewood marimbas, including my ‘one-nighter’ Deagan from the 1930s. Both keyboards were custom orders with unique specs, and the team at K&K were attentive to every detail, as well as a pleasure to deal with. Thank you K&K for giving me the edge!”
