Vibraphone Amplification System

K&K has more than 20 years experience in vibraphone amplification, more than any other company on the globe. As a matter of fact, vibraphone amplification is the true origin of K&K. Our first product ever was a magnetic vibe pickup system

The system shown here is installed on a Musser Piper vibe.

This system is designed for 3 octave vibraphones and can be custom fit to almost any vibraphone model on the market at no extra charge.

Our standard system comes with 2 straight collecting rails, which mount to the vibraphone frame with 2 screws each.

For Traveler vibraphones (with collapsible frame-rails and resonators) we offer collapsible collecting rails (Traveler/Foldable System), also very convenient for air travel. Foldable rails feature hangers, no screw mount is necessary.

All vibraphone amplification systems are custom-made. We build all systems to the exact dimensions of your instrument (How to draw a plan for your K&K Vibraphone Amplification System). Therefore, please allow 3-4 weeks between ordering and shipping.

Standard Straight Rail Audio Pickup System

This audio vibraphone pickup system is the perfect solution for the economy minded vibraphone player. We can custom-make the systems for all different vibraphone sizes and types.

This Audio Pickup System comes with all the parts shown on the photo above plus all mounting materials, glue etc. It includes the 3 channel Mini Mixer which allows perfect adjustment of the 3 octave ranges (f-f/f#-e/f-f) corresponding to wide, medium and narrow width tone bars. These EQ and volume adjustments are done inside the Mini Mixer with a supplied small screwdriver via trim pots (see photo below).

The system is preprogrammed and factory set for a Musser Pro Vibe. It includes everything shown in the photo above, plus all mounting materials, glue etc.

Traveler/SPLIT Rail Audio Pickup System

This audio vibraphone pickup system is based on the same transducers and technology as the system above but it comes with 4 shorter collecting rails to perfectly compliment the Musser or Yamaha Traveler vibraphone models as well as any Musser M55 or regular full size Yamaha frame. The rails are equipped with hangers, they interconnect with two supplied patch chords.

It is perfect for the musician who air travels with his bars and pickup system only and rents Musser or Yamaha frames at the location of the performance. We can custom-make the systems for different vibraphone sizes if necessary. This Audio Pickup System comes with the 3 channel Mini Mixer which allows perfect adjustment of the 3 octave ranges (f-f/f#-e/f-f) corresponding to wide, medium and narrow width tone bars.
