The PowerMix Pure System consists of:

• The natural Pure Western or Pure Classic guitar bridgeplate transducing system.

The K&KFanTaStick is one of the most distinguished, amazingly sweet sounding under-the-saddle transducers available. Handcrafted quality made in K&K's production plant in Oregon/USA. It provides high gain-before-feedback, lots of clarity and sound definition.  The FanTaStick's piezo crystals are specially hand selected for their acoustic signal strength and string to string balance. Unlike other undersaddle transducers, the FanTaStick's crystals are oriented towards the guitar-top and not towards the strings to create a warmer tone and a maximum reception of soundboard sound.

The PowerMix 2-Channel Preamp allows for precise sound adjustment of each transducer. It features gain, bass, mid, treble and volume controls for each individual channel and uses low-power consumption parts so that the battery life is up to 120 hours. The output jack is a high quality Switchcraft endpinjack, wired so both channels are mixed together for MONO use with a standard mono guitar cord.

(NOTE: This preamp can easily be installed deeper inside the guitar as shown in the photo above. The removable attachment system will not damage your guitar's label. For initial adjustment, we recommend a sound-hole placement of the preamp as in the photo. After you are finished adjusting your personal sound, you can choose to position the preamp deeper inside the guitar. The double volume control element (highlighted in the photo above) is designed for internal sound-hole edge mount.)

All parts of the system can be installed non-destructively without hole drilling other than the endpin hole. The components are meticulously phase aligned.

Sevaral PowerMix Pure systems are available:

• PowerMix Pure Mini - with onboard preamp. This system combines the Pure Western Mini and the FanTaStick Western via the dual channel PowerMix Onboard Preamp. We recommend the Pure Western Mini pickups for all acoustic guitars as a first choice. Direct installation with superglue is required for optimum performance but the system is still is removable without damaging the guitar (you may damage the pickup though). The Mini pickups have a little less output (about 80%) than the Pure Western Standard, but the dual channel PowerMix Preamp entirely evens out this slight difference due to it's noiseless circuitry. This pickup system will fit ANY steel string acoustic guitar! It features super balanced, flat sound transmission, warm woody tone without any quack and superior dynamic range all over the guitar's frequency spectrum. This pickup won the silver medal in the 2006 worldwide readers poll of Acoustic Guitar Magazine.
  
  
• PowerMix Pure Standard - for removable installation - with onboard preamp. This system combines the Pure Western Standard and the FanTaStick Western via the dual channel PowerMix Onboard Preamp. We recommend this pickup system with larger transducer heads if a removable installation is desired or for personal preference. It features extra strong bass response, pronounced midrange and it has a tad stronger high end. This is why we find it a great choice for 12 string guitars, too, with their heavier tops and bridges. Please check for the bridge plate size of your guitar before you order.
