Dietri's personal page
Hello Folks,
Now that you know all about my past, here is some insight of what I like to do now.
First of all, "Dietri" is my artist name and I really enjoy my job here at K&K.
Besides that, my major hobbies are playing the guitar, recording my music and sailing. Our cats give me a lot of joy, too.
I own two sailboats, one is permanently moored in Coos Bay, the other one is a 26 foot trailerable sloop, which is easy to launch and setup, thus allowing my family and me to enjoy sailing in other cruising grounds like Puget Sound or one of the many lakes in the Pacific North West. I even have recording gear on my boat, so if inspiration hits me I can save it right there on the water.
During the last 10 years I recorded 2 albums, "M'ocean" and "Northwest Passages". Both were recorded in my home studio and I played all instruments myself, overdubbing track by track.
Within the last couple of years I only wrote a few new songs as I spend a lot of my free time with sailing. It was not enough material to fill an entire album. I had the idea to divide my music in "acoustic" and "electric" in order to get a more uniform style in one package. So I arranged my songs into 2 new albums "Dietri Acoustic" and "Dietri Electric". These also include the new material from 2006 and 2007. The "acoustic" CD is acoustic guitar only but it may contain bass and percussion as accompaniment, while the "electric" CD is recorded with electric and acoustic guitars, bass, drums, keyboards etc. All songs are my originals except for the title song "Aboriginal" on the Dietri Electric, which is based upon a ground track from Alex Gruenwald, a friend, pro-musician and producer from Munich Germany. The song "for Graham" was written over an original drum track provided by my friend Graham Lear, who used to play with Santana.
If you would like to get one of my CDs just ask for one (pick acoustic or electric) to be included with your next order placed with K&K. I will give it to you for free!
Here are some sound samples of the Dietri acoustic and electric, please also check HERE, our K&K sound sample site, when it says Dietri, it's me.
