Thierry Gomar is one of the foremost vibraphone players in France. He studied music at
Perpignan, Montpellier, Paris, and under the faculty of Paris-Sorbonne. He has written, composed, and improvised with Philippe Fénelon, Daniel Tosi, Jef Gilson, Philippe Macé, Antoine Herve, Levine Mark. He resides in Narbonne, France.

To play over centuries and continents (ancient music, jazz, contemporary music, rock, baroque, Persian music etc ....) Thierry Gomar has built himself by assembling his vision of a sound personal labyrinth made out of musical, societal, poetical and political traces left by man throughout time. In its brilliant freedom of flow, of language, of sonority, he creates forms which juxtapose steady nomadism and constructions in several dimensions - the vertical joins the horizontal, within a rhythm of libertarian prose.

Thierry uses the K&K Vibraphone System: "Since the day when I attended a Mike Mainieri concert in France, I decided to enhance my play with a vibraphone amplification system. I play with a K&K 3-octave amplification system. The K&K system is very reliable and has allowed me to obtain a wide sound pattern and to uitlize a wide variety of effects, just as a guitarist. I have used this system on my last Solo CD Between Two Worlds in cooperation with the sound designer Jose Barrachina. This album has been one of the 5 most sold Jazz CDs in France in September, October and November 2006 (Abeillemusique.com) and has been enthusiastically gailed in the French Jazz press."
