He is excited to release Reaching Out, his new EP project of acoustic pop/rock tunes written in the past year.
A college senior and avid singer/songwriter, Jakes performing exploded three years ago when he began to play several live shows throughout North Carolina.
The new EP reflects his experiences of college life and welcomes a heightened level of crisp, honest songwriting.
Jake travels throughout the region several times a year playing shows and loves to connect with friends and strangers alike through his music.
Often present in the local music circuit of Wilmington, he plays at coffee shops and bars, on campus events, as well as local and regional festivals. Jake also embraces a spiritual side by working as a camp counselor and Christian youth musician during the summers.
Here is a copy of a personal note from Jake to the K&K crew: " just wanted to take a minute and let you all know what a remarkable product you all have in the Pure Western pickup. I've had one installed on my Epiphone for over a year now and the sound quality is amazing. I originally started with a piezo-style undersaddle pickup of another big name US manufacturer in the guitar which sounded horrible, and didn't do the flat-top justice by any means. The Pure Western was a great replacement. I love the passive electronics which makes running through any PA a breeze, plus I barely have to do any EQ-ing...it's so balanced.
