Billy started playing a borrowed, nasty, 3-string acoustic guitar at the age of 12 and was hooked!
Playing mostly rock and heavy metal and touring with "Fighter" in the early 90's, It was then that he first heard
David Wilcox and was immediately pulled into the acoustic realm.
Now after 15 years of concerts and coffee houses the search for great acoustic amplification is over.
"I've had over a dozen (!) different pickups in my Olson SJ including a
highly-touted, obscenely expensive pickup system and I have always used 2 pickup sources in my guitars...UNTIL NOW!
The K&K Pure Western Mini pickup has set the high-water mark for me. I've already put another one in my Gibson
AJ and have turned other players on to the fabulous, natural sound of the K&K.
I can't believe what these contact pickups are able to...well...pick up! During my live sets, I'll often loop guitar phrases
and for kicks, I'll yell into the guitar's soundhole and voila, it picks up my voice!

Billy is planning a CD release later this year called "Hooks 'n Loops" which will showcase all of his influences
from Willy Porter to David Wilcox and James Taylor.
